24/7's Recommendations

"Our X-Series is great for single-family and multi-family residential development projects. The MS-Series provides more coverage and is ideal for commercial and industrial projects. Customers love using our solar units because they operate under their own power and cell cards and are easy to move and set up."
"I recommend our solar-powered mobile systems due to their energy independence and sustainability. Designed with a 2-inch ball on the trailer, these systems can be towed and stowed anywhere in the country to protect your jobsite, no matter the terrain."

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 01

Why choose a solar-powered security camera system?

Solar-powered security cameras secure sites without 120V power, which makes them ideal for off-grid locations and early-phase construction projects.

These units also don’t require hardwiring, which means they can be freely moved around sites — or to different locations — as projects progress.

  • 02

What if a site doesn’t get enough sun to power a solar camera system?

Limited sun? No problem. 24/7 Onsite Cameras has multiple options on offer.

If the site is off-grid (without access to conventional power), our MS-Series comes with a generator backup that works even after weeks without sunlight.

For sites with power, 24/7’s mounted pole cameras and EC-Series systems can connect to standard 120V outlets.

  • 03

Can solar panels face any direction?

As a best practice, we recommend that all systems face south.

  • 04

How much sun exposure does a solar camera system need?

The more sun, the better. While our energy-efficient systems are built to operate in harsh environments, even when minimal daylight is available, backup generators and electric cameras may work better for sites with minimal sunlight.
