Find a level surface where you can set up your system. Choose a site that allows the solar panels to face south for maximum sun exposure.
Here’s how to set up your MS-Series Security System from initial positioning to panel deployment.
Once unhooked from your vehicle, find the wheel chocks, attached to the wheel wells, and place them under the tires to keep the system in place. For optimal sun exposure, face solar panels south.
Pull the spring-assisted pin up on the top of the outrigger, and then pull the outrigger away until the pin falls into place with a clicking sound.
Pull the pin on the extension of the outrigger. When the extension hits the ground, find the closest hole to the top (it may sit higher than the ground — that’s okay). Slide the pin all the way through and attach the keeper pin on the other side.
Repeat on all outriggers.
Once you have all the outriggers in place, use the provided crank to lower each. Crank to lower by sliding the crank onto the lug of the outrigger. You don’t want to raise the system off the ground; you just want to create tension.
Repeat on all four sides to get firm pressure on each. Check the leveler on the front of the system to ensure everything is level.
Twist the handle to open the door of the system. Inside, to the left, you’ll see a yellow remote control. Make sure there are no overhead obstructions, and then press the “Up” button on the control to raise the mast. Orange, then red, will indicate you’re nearing full extension of the mast.
Once raised, slide the pin through the pinhole on the front of the system, and attach the keeper pin on the other side to lock the mast.
Pull the latches on both ends of the solar panel until they point down, in the open position. Slide the panel out, then lock it back into place by moving the latches to their original position.
Repeat on the opposite solar panel.
Open the door of the system and turn on all switches to activate cameras, analytics, and auxiliaries.
