Before unhooking the system from your vehicle’s trailer hitch, make sure you’ve found a flat location where the solar panels can face south.
A step-by-step guide on how to level, raise, and power up your X-Series system.
Once unhooked from your vehicle, place the wheel chocks (attached to the wheel wells) under the tires to keep the system from rolling until it’s fully set up. The solar panels should face south for optimal sun exposure.
Next, you’ll need to set up each outrigger. Pull the spring-assisted pin on the outrigger, and then pull to the furthest position until the pin falls into place with a click.
Pull the pin on the extension of the outrigger, let it fall to the ground, and then move it up until you find the closest hole to the top. Slide the pin all the way through and attach the keeper pin.
Repeat on all outriggers.
Use the provided crank to lower each outrigger. Slide the crank onto the lug of the outrigger, then crank to lower until you feel a bit of tension with the ground. You don’t want to raise the system off the ground; you just want to apply pressure.
Repeat on all four sides, then check the leveler on the front of the system to ensure everything is level.
There’s an extended mount on the solar panel that needs to be disconnected to open the winch door and raise the mast. To move the mount, pull the pin and slide the stabilizer out of the way. Open the door using the lever on the right-hand side.
Make sure there are no overhead obstructions, and then manually crank the winch to raise the mast. Orange, then red, will indicate you’re nearing full extension of the mast.
Once raised, slide the pin through the pinhole, and attach the keeper pin on the other side to lock the mast.
Turn the crank to face downward to close and latch the box. Realign the stabilizer to its original position, return the pin, and lock it into place with the keeper pin.
Open the equipment box by turning the knob to access three breakers. Turn the breakers on to power the solar panels, battery, and main power source.
Your jobsite is now secure!
The X-Series is a 24/7 solar system with a super-small footprint, powered by just 820W of solar energy. It’s ideal for sites without power, mobile projects, and compact jobsites.
